  10. WARNING! Hover Ace does not support 3Dfx Voodoo video cards due to certain particularities of their architecture!

  33. 2. Installing and launching game

  35. Follow the instructions given below to install the game:

  37. - Insert the game CD in your CD-ROM
  38. - Launch setup.exe file
  39. - Follow the instructions of the install wizard 
  40. - After the game is installed click on the corresponding icon in the program menu to launch the game
  41. - Enter the code from the game CD

  43. 3. Game and menu

  45. In order to get acquainted with the menu functions of the game and its rules we strongly recommend you should read the manual shipped on the game CD. Find "Hover Ace manual.htm" file. You can open the manual by clicking on its icon in the program menu.

  48. 4. Performance and stability
  49.  
  50. To secure maximum stability make sure you have DirectX 8.1 or higher installed on your PC. Should you not have DirectX 8.1 installed you may obtain it from the game disk in the DirectX folder. In case you do not have Intel Indeo 5.1 codec or higher installed on your computer you must install it from the game disk. It is stored in the Indeo folder. Other than that, you won't be able to watch the opening video. 
  51. We also suggest you install the latest sound and video drivers to secure stable performance (final testing was conducted with the use of Detonator 30.82). To ensure maximum stability it is recommended you launch the game on the Windows 2000/XP rather than Windows 98/ME.

The game has a number of graphical settings that influence its performance speed. To obtain the maximum performance on your PC you need to adjust the game settings in the Settings menu, System and Game submenus. The manual contains a detail description of each setting. By default, the medium graphical settings are preset.

  55. NOTE!  To ensure proper functioning of the game be advised to have the regional standards of Russian installed in the Windows OS by default. For Windows 98/ME you may do it in the following way:
